Working out of the head office in the Melbourne CBD you will be responsible for IT Operations and responsible for the IT department. It will be your role to be the link between the business and IT department keeping all parties informed on current IT events and ensuring that business initiatives and properly scoped and delivered through IT systems. Although you will not be expected to be an IT guru, ideally you will have a good general knowledge of IT. This will help you to prioritise, schedule and assign work to members of the IT team.
With a number of big projects due to roll out this year you will need experience in some of the following areas.
• Formulate and implement Disaster recovery plan.
• Implement MS Sharepoint portals (both for internal and external clients)
• Roll out of new phone systems (VOIP)
• Security best practices
Your responsibilities
• Negotiate and liaise with vendors
• Responsible for IT budgets, reporting, hiring, IT staff appraisals.
• Act as the entry point between IT and the business in Coordinating, prioritising, scheduling of IT work / resources and keeping all relevant parties update on IT matters
• Attend weekly management meetings representing the IT department.
• Preparing reports on IT related issues (including resource efficiency, management reports, budgets etc)
• Coordinating. Prioritising and scheduling of IT work / resources
