Job Description:
My client is seeking a level 1 Help Desk resource on a part time basis. With the ability to negotiate flexible hours, this position would be ideal for someone seeking a return to the workforce or who only wants to work 3 or 4 days a week. The position is initially being offered as a 3 month contract, with the possibility of extension to 12 months.<br><br>You will be responsible for :<br>- Inputting all service requests received by the IT Helpdesk in to the Helpdesk Management database<br>- Prioritising and resolve support requests in a timely manner, or assign to appropriate level within the team <br>- Liaising with vendors and support providers when external service is required (e.g. for hardware breakdowns)<br><br>Your skills:<br>- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP supported by proven relevant experience. Knowledge of a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Exchange Server 2003 environment would be an advantage.<br>- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 applications - particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.<br>- Sound knowledge of Apple Macintosh operating systems is desirable.<br>- Proven ability to prioritise your own workload and be self-motivated within a team environment.<br><br>Please note: must be Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply for this job. <br>
